Please Pray!

Please pray for some very good friends of mine, the Holston family. Some of you may read Endurance's Blog already, but in case you don't, I encourage you to.

The Holston's story started when Mrs. Holston had a baby last fall. A baby boy. Then that baby started to have problems breathing, so they took him to the hospital where they found out that the baby had a serious heart problem.

Soon the baby was named Endurance. But Endurance stayed in the hospital. He had surgery after surgery, trying to help his heart. He was intubated, then he could breathe on his own. Then he was re-intubated. He grew and grew. He got his first tooth. He smiled. He was, simply put, adorable!

It went on in this way for about 8 months. All this time a search was going on for a doctor who would be willing to do a risky surgery that could save Endurance's life if it was successful. Well not to long ago, a doctor in Columbus, Ohio was contacted and he was the doctor that ended up willing to do the operation. He has done over 80 surgeries like this. So, a couple weeks ago, the whole family packed up and drove to Ohio, while Endurance was flown with a parent to the Columbus hospital.

Yesterday, Endurance went into surgery. The surgery went well, and Endurance seemed to be doing well.

This morning I woke up and eagerly asked my mom if there were any updates on Endurance. She said yes.

Endurance had passed away. The doctors said he should have only lived for 4-6 months. He lived for 8 months. His heart stopped and wouldn't start again, even though the doctors tried for half an hour. He ran his race with endurance.

Please, please pray for this dear family. They will appreciate it.
