My Latest Art Project

So, all you dear people... how many of you would like to see my art project that I really like, and just finished not more than three hours ago?

I think I see a few hands raised and a couple head nods, so I think I'll share. :D

Here you are for your viewing pleasure...

My parents gave this paint by number to me for my birthday (they even let me pick it out! :D) and I finished it just today. The bottom half of the painting - from the fence and down (basically the grass), and not including the horses, since they were already done - was all done yesterday and today. Quite a bit... but I loved doing it.

Horse tail detail on the left, and blending on the spots to make it more realistic... which is a good idea, actually.

They also had me blend the sky. Considering that I have never done this technique before, I really am surprised with how nicely it turned out.

A comparison photo on the right of the finished painting, and the box which shows how it's supposed to look. The left pic shows that blending technique once again... with the horses breath and the blue roan horse. Blending is so fun and cool. :)

This photo below is of the first paint by number that I ever finished... or the first one I ever remember doing. As evidence by the newest accomplishment, you can tell that I've improved. :) But I still like this one... especially the frame. :)

Now all that remains for me to do with the new one, is to find that perfect frame, and hang it on the wall for all to see. :D

Oh, and...
Happy February 29th!! :D

Great job! I love painting but never have time to do it...and then I never like the way my painting come out. But that's the problem of being a perfectionist :)
