End of Summer Blog Party
Some of you may be surprised to see me posting on what I call "my old blog". Well I'm still able to post words and whatnot, so I'm going to do "Wordy" posts on here. My new blog will be my photography blog.
Anyway, onto the Bree's blog party (and giveaway... click on the button to check it out!) I'm entering.

Anyway, onto the Bree's blog party (and giveaway... click on the button to check it out!) I'm entering.
- Do you belive that Christ is the only way to Heaven? Yes, I do. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." That's clear enough to my way of thinking.
- Do you have any specific requirements in your future husband? If so, what are they? Oh, sheesh. This is a question that I could do a whole post on. Some of the more obvious ones are - is he a Christian? What does he believe? Does he want to leave our number of children up to God? The one's I've thought of that aren't as obvious are - will he be willing to go camping, picnicking, etc. So, yeah... that's just the tip of the iceberg.
- What is your favorite Bible verse? Psalms 56:3 "When I am afraid, I will trust in You." If I'm fearful I love knowing that I can trust God to be in control.
- Who inspires you? Oh... uhh... besides God and my parents... err... I think I'd have to choose Stonewall Jackson.
- What is your favorite part about my blog? You. You're so fun and unique! :)
- Shoes or no shoes? Well, I prefer no shoes, although I have an ankle/arch problem that makes it to where I should probably wear shoes at least outside.
- Lemonade or iced tea? Lemonade!! Ice tea... well, let's just say my taste buds don't find it very tasteful. :)
- iPod or computer? Both - PLEASE?!! Well, I don't have an iPod yet but it's next on my wish list.
- Flats or heels? Flats... of course. Why do I want to wear ankle breakers?
- Writing or reading? Reading. You wouldn't want to see some of the stories I used to write. They. Are. Lame. Super lame. No plot, ridiculous characters... and so on and so forth.
- Rain or sun? Rain, rain go away... come back maybe after a few days? You probably have guessed my answer. Sun!
- Shorts or skirts (in the summer)? I never wear shorts by themselves. I wear skirts year round, day in and day out - partly because I don't have any pants/shorts, partly because skirts are super comfy, partly because I want to, and partly because the ones I wear are modest (aka... never above mid calf and NOT tight).

Thoughts of Spring Blog Party
Lynnette Kraft over at Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground is having a blog party - spring themed!
She has questions to fill out, so here are mine!
How would people describe your personality? (If they could only use ONE word.) Are they right?
Umm... I'm not sure. Outgoing, passionate, friendly, blunt, funny, sarcastic? If they used any of those, they'd be right.
What celebrity/celebrities would create a “Star-Struck” feeling if you saw them in real life? Well, I am not the type to get star struck, but if I did, it would probably be Matthew Macfayden, Harrison Ford, Ewan McGregor, or Romola Garai.
Who is your favorite blogger? Why? I have a few favorite bloggers. One being my friend, Nana at By the Way. Another is Jo March at Scraps from My Workbasket. And I would have to put Ara at Shilah on the list as well. They are such amusing, thoughtful, fun, unique fellow bloggers.
What is your comfort food/drink? Spiced Cider and Ham and Cheese Potatoes.
Be brave – tell us something very random and weird about yourself. I used to talk in my sleep a lot. One thing I used to shout out was "Oh! You scared me!"
Do you have a strong desire to do something you’ve never done? What is it? Yes, in fact I do. Ride a horse faster than a trot and not fall off. Yes, I'm serious.
Movies: Action, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Documentary, Comedy? What are your favorite genres? Action, Drama, and some Comedy. I like stories that have depth and feeling to them. Characters that captivate you. And plots that jump out and surprise you, but are enjoyable. But I don't like lame acting or bad soundtrack... 'cause the storyline could be golden, but with out the good acting and soundtrack, the movie would fall flat on it's face.
Books: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Romance, Biographies, True Stories, Self-Help, Devotional/Study? What are your favorite types of reading material? I like Fiction mainly. I will dabble in other genres, but it's limited and specific. I like books with the same qualities that I like in movies.
Music: Funk, Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical, Film Score, Blues, Classic Rock, Crooner, Alternative, Heavy Metal, Techno? What are your favorite types? Classical, hymns, celtic, some country, some film score, some jazz, and some blues. Stuff such as rock, heavy metal, and techno are pet peeves for me.
If you inherited a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with your money? Well, the first thing I would have to do is pay Uncle Sam's inheritance tax. But besides that, I'd buy my parents a house in the country. It's what they've always wanted. Then I'd give them a couple hundred thousand, buy a car for me, and a DSLR Canon camera, and save the rest. Oh, and tithe of course.
Name one weakness of yours (confession is good for the soul). I have too many more than one. Pretty things, horses, crafts... I just like to live life to the fullest.
If you could live anywhere at all (and take all your loved ones with you), where would you go? Switzerland. They have the most freedoms out of all the rest of the countries, besides America. And they have beautiful, rugged mountains. Although I also love Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand, too.
Strange Talent? Can you juggle basketballs, put your legs behind your head or perform some other strange feat? I can make a sound with my mouth that sounds like a chain saw or dirt bike. Hey, you said weird...
What’s something you consider yourself to be good at? (Don’t worry, it’s not bragging, it’s acknowledging a God given gift). Being gullible. Working hard. Reading fast. Laughing a lot (sometimes I don't even know what about).
What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of? The smell of the outdoors in the country. Or flowers. Or food.
When you leave a social gathering, do you wish: You would have talked more or You would have talked less? I wish I had more time to talk more with my friends/family/etc.
If money wasn’t a factor, what stores would you shop in? Jo Ann's (hey, I can't help it. I like to craft!), Sears, JC Penny's, LL Bean.
What is your greatest fear or strange phobia? I am claustrophobic. I am also afraid of standing on high edges. I have a fear of falling or drowning (even though I swim good).
What is your greatest accomplishment? Graduating from high school. Next on my accomplishments list is learning to drive or getting married.
What are your favorite animals? Horses, cats, and dolphins.
Are you a hopeless romantic? Eh, yeah. Depends.
What movie or book character can you most relate to? Christy Huddleston from "Christy" by Catherine Marshall.

Guinevere over at Singing in the Rain is hosting a blog party and Giveaway!! The prizes are: 1st - makeover from Robin Blogs, 2nd - winner's choice of any extra from Awel Prince's Inspire' Designs Studio, and 3rd - their choice of any extra from Nana's Boutique Window!! Hurry and enter - just click on the button below or the one on the sidebar - it ends September 8th!!

1. What has been your favorite part of summer so far?
My trip to Virginia! You can see the pictures I've posted so far of that trip... the rest are a working progress. :)
2. What is your favorite part of autumn?
The leaves changing colors. And curling up in front of the fire with a good book and a cup of spiced cider!
3. Raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens?
Hmm... I like roses and kittens, but I think I'll go with kittens. :)
4. Describe your dream house.
Somewhere in the South-Eastern part of the United States, in the country on a few acres (enough to farm and be self-sustainable). I want it to be large and have enough room for me to have several families over at once, but not so large as that I can't keep up with it. About 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, living room, family/sun room, dining room, LARGE kitchen, wrap around porch and patio. Also a creek, swimming pool (I LOVE swimming), barn, horses, chickens, etc. Also be able to decorate and theme each room (apples in the kitchen, duckies in the kid's bathroom, seashore in another, toile in my bedroom, etc.)
5. What's your favorite movie?
Hahaha... I'm just laughing to myself, because you just had to ask this question! :) I have quite a few favorites, but I'll try and pick one... let's see... how about the BBC Emma that came out in 2009? I love it!!
6. Quote something from the book you most recently read:
"I suppose there's a time in practically every young boy's life when he's affected by that wonderful disease of puppy love."
~ from Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
7. What do you like/not like about my blog?
I absolutely adore the design of your blog makeover that Awel Prince did for you!
8. Rain or shine?
Shine, shine, shine!
9. The worst grammatical mistake, in your opinion:
Saying "like" in the wrong context... it's one of my pet peeves!
10. If you had a choice, would you want to live: in the mountains, in a rainforest, on a prairie, or by the beach?
This is a toss up between the mountains and the beach... but I think I'll choose the beach.
11. What character from a book would you say you are most like?
Christy Huddleston from Christy by Catherine Marshall.
12. Be constantly talking the rest of your life or not be able to communicate in any way for the rest of your life?
Oh my goodness!! If I wasn't able to communicate for the rest of my life, I think I'd die sooner!! I'd rather talk the rest of my life!!
13. Owl City or Switchfoot?
Neither.
14. Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez?
Neither.
15. Your pet peeve?
Which one should I pick? All right... I HATE the droopy pants and loose shirts of so many young men in today's world, and the tight, belly showing clothes of the girls (not to mention bikinis!!)!!
16. What's your favorite font?
Wow... I don't really have one. It depends on what I'm using it for. One of the ones I like is your header font. I don't like Times New Roman, Arial, Helvetica, Trebuchet, or Verdana, just to name a few.
17. How are you educated? (i.e. homeschooled, public schooled, private schooled)
Home schooled all the way! There's no other way I'd have it!
18. Do you consider yourself tomboy-ish or feminine?
I used to consider myself a mix of the two, but I'm definitely feminine now (I'm the Birkenstock sandal, tiered skirt, laid back feminine - although I love to ooh and aah over wedding dresses, period dresses, etc.)!!
19. What's your favorite song?
You sure do like to ask hard questions (at least for me to answer)! Amazing Grace, I'll Fly Away, Dueling Violins, Me and God, Country Road, the list goes on...
20. Did you enjoy answering these questions?
Yes... they were challenging!!:) Thank you Guinevere!

Another Question About My Photo Blog
Well, everybody, I am once again asking for your input. Since people said I should keep my photo blog, I started thinking... what if I made a page on this blog for me to put photos on? I myself think it's a pretty good idea. But... there would be one difference - I would put my own photos on there. :) So, what do you think?
